Detailed AGL Design Course 

A comprehensive 10 day course offering a detailed introduction to AGL design, product & systems characteristics and specifications to meet international standards.  Advanced topics include A-SMGCS architecture and functionality, runway incursion warning systems, navigation aids and their operational integration, and the application of asset management technologies for monitoring system performance and lifecycle condition. Operational, environmental, and maintainability considerations are incorporated throughout, with reference to emerging and new AGL technologies. The course is designed to equip engineers and project specialists with the technical knowledge required to develop compliant designs, define system specifications, and support the delivery, operation, and ongoing management of modern AGL installations.

What you will Learn

This course offers an in-depth introduction to the detailed design, components, system characteristics, and specifications of AGL systems in accordance with international standards such as ICAO. It also covers national regulations set by organizations including the FAA, EUROCONTROL, EASA, NATO, UK CAA, and STAC.

In the second week, participants will apply their knowledge by designing a complete AGL layout for a fictional airport, gaining hands-on experience in system planning and implementation.
