PAPI Familiarisation & Operational Compliance Course

The 3 day Course provides a complete introduction to the design, function, alignment, maintenance and regulatory requirements of Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) systems.

The course is specifically designed for all levels of AGL Practitioners involved in either project definition, operation(s), design, installation, setting to work & maintenance of PAPI systems for civil aviation airport operations; defence airfields operating either instrument, precision or non-instrument facilities ie. for operations in IFR or VFR (Instrument Flight Rules or Visual Flight Rules).

The understanding & definition for the PAPI system(s) is fundamental to ensure safe aircraft operations under ICAO, EASA, FAA or National CAA standards and recommended procedures.

Using a blend of classroom modules, practical demonstrations, calculation workshops and—where available—on-airport site visits, this course delivers a strong foundation of technical knowledge and operational understanding for PAPI systems / equipment and its role in safe aircraft approach operations.

Our specialist Aviation Academy is conveniently located near to London Stansted Airport (45 mins), London Heathrow (1.30 hours), London Liverpool Street train Station (1 hour).

Please note this course is available in both our Aviation Academy in London Wickford, UK or onsite globally.
